Next Stage Arts is excited to announce the return of the Bandwagon Summer Series for its 2026 season—reimagined to bring an even more vibrant, immersive, and community-driven experience to eastern Windham County from June through September. Now in its seventh year, the Bandwagon Summer Series continues its tradition of transforming local fields, farms, and parks into lively gathering spaces filled with music, culture, and connection. This year’s series has been thoughtfully redesigned to feature nine dynamic events, including four mini-festival–style celebrations with multiple artists, plus puppetry, circus arts, food vendors, and plenty of room to gather, dance, and enjoy.

For many, Bandwagon is their first introduction to Next Stage—and organizers heard loud and clear what audiences want: live music, open skies, and a true sense of celebration. This season delivers just that, with a wide-ranging lineup spanning genres and cultures, from local favorites to touring acts.

Full lineup details and ticketing information are available at nextstagearts.org. In keeping with Next Stage’s mission, children under 12 attend free, and every event includes a dedicated kids’ play area. Complimentary series passes are also available through public libraries across Windham County.

Local food and beverage vendors will be on-site at each event. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or fold-up chairs for comfortable outdoor seating. All venues aim to be accessible—those with specific needs are encouraged to contact Next Stage in advance.

In addition to Bandwagon, Next Stage Arts now also presents Twilight on the Tavern Lawn, a beloved free summer concert series celebrating its 23rd season. Kicking off May 31, concerts take place every other Sunday through August 23 at 6:00 PM on the Putney Tavern lawn (or indoors at Next Stage in case of rain). The series features a mix of folk, world, jazz, zydeco, bluegrass, pop, and Americana, and is presented in partnership with the Town of Putney and local sponsors. Donations are welcome.

Next Stage will also continue its indoor programming throughout the summer at its air-conditioned theater on Kimball Hill, offering even more opportunities to experience the arts. Series passes for the 2026 Bandwagon Summer Series are available now at nextstagearts.org, with individual event tickets on sale beginning May 1. Early booking is encouraged.

The 2026 Bandwagon Summer Series is made possible through the generous support of local sponsors including The Brattleboro Reformer, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Landmark College, Oak Meadow, The Commons, Putney Diner, Barr Hill, Southern Vermont Solar, The Greenwood School, Vermont Plank Flooring, Putney Inn, Putney General Store, 802 Credit Union, Against the Grain, The Richards Group, and the Putney Food Co-op.
