10:01 am - 10:01 am
This spring, the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute (NHFPI) will host events in all 10 New Hampshire counties to discuss The State Budget: What You Need to Know, offering a clear, nonpartisan look at how the State Budget works and what it means for Granite Staters. These events, which are free and open to the public, will examine:
– What the State Budget is, how it is structured, and what it funds
– The role of education, healthcare, and other major services in the State Budget
– How State revenue and spending decisions interact with local government services and property taxes
– The impacts the State Budget can have on the cost of living and affordability and household costs across New Hampshire
At these events, NHFPI Research Director Phil Sletten will provide data-informed analysis and answer audience questions. The events are aimed at helping residents better understand the fiscal decisions that can shape their communities.
