The Sarasa Ensemble presents “@1775 in Boston, London, Paris & Vienna”—a program featuring music beloved by 18th-century audiences, including works by Billings, Arne, J.C. Bach, Barsanti, Cervetto, Baltzar, Lanzetti, Haydn, and Mozart. This Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Brattleboro Music Center, 72 Blanche Moyse Way,Brattleboro, VT
Performers include Carley DeFranco (soprano), Susanna Ogata (violin), Jennifer Morsches & Timothy Merton (cellos), and Andrus Madsen (fortepiano). The concert draws on the cross-pollination of European concert society traditions and highlights Boston-born William Billings, the first American to publish his own music—engraved by none other than Paul Revere.
This program is part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, connecting the sounds of the American Revolution with the larger community.
