The Center for the Arts – Lake Sunapee Region invites you to an evening of laughter, reflection, and connection with 79’ and Holding, a witty and heartwarming play by Mary S. Allen. This free community event takes place on Monday, September 15 at 6:30 PM at Whipple Hall in New London, NH.

Edited and directed by Gloria Allen, 79’ and Holding shines a light on the joys, fears, and humor of growing older. With unflinching honesty and plenty of laughter, Allen captures the universal experiences of love, loss, nostalgia, and resilience. Audiences of all ages will recognize themselves—or their loved ones—in these stories.

The staged reading features a talented cast including Gloria Allen, Wally Borgen, Margo Coolidge, and Linda Lambert. Their performances promise to leave you smiling, nodding in recognition, and celebrating the shared moments that connect generations.
