118 Elliot will host an artists’ talk and reception on July 18. There will be a reception and viewing time from 5pm to 6pm. The talk starts at 6pm.
Artists from the current group of exhibitors will each focus on one piece of art. The artists will reveal their individual process, such as choices of subject, color, size, and the actual method of putting paint to paper or canvas. Questions and comments from the audience are encouraged.
118 Elliot supports the collaboration of local artists and is pleased to have seven artists exhibiting in July: Tina Olsen, Mary Wright, Ellen Maddrey, John Loggia, Molly Melloan, and Jack Pombriant.

The artists look forward to inviting you into their paintings, with the acknowledgement that “talking” about painting is inherently difficult – art is created and felt with the whole consciousness, which goes beyond the ability to intellectualize and explain. Thus is the goal of “Exploring Wonderment” – sensing art with our whole being and allowing magic to happen.
