Five performances remain in The Redfern’s winter/spring 2018 season.

● STEINBERG DUO (Sunday, February 18, 3 p.m., Alumni Recital Hall, tickets $30-$25). The Steinberg Duo – Louisa Stonehill, violin, and Nicholas Burns, piano – will perform a classical evening featuring Beethoven, Bloch, and Stravinsky.

● JOHNNY FIRESEED AND THE JUNKYARD DOGS (Saturday, February 24, 11 a.m., Alumni Recital Hall, tickets $8-$5). This family show uses music to create a learning experience about being green. Johnny Fireseed and the Junkyard Dogs use instruments made entirely from trash, recycled, and re-purposed items to perform original music with an upbeat eco-message.

● ADDICTION PERFORMANCE PROJECT (Thursday, March 8, 7:30 p.m., Main Theatre, tickets $20-$12). A dramatic reading of Eugene O’Neill’s “Long Day’s Journey into Night” is a catalyst for town hall discussions about the disease of addiction as it touches patients, families, health professionals, and communities. This participatory event is intended to break down the stigma associated with addiction and promote healthy dialogue among diverse communities affected by the disease.

● THE BANG GROUP: A Mouthful of Shoes (Friday, March 23, 7:30 p.m., Main Theatre, tickets $20-$12). The Bang Group is a New York-based theatrical dance troupe honoring the power of rhythm in the human urge to dance. Choreographer David Parker creates works with comic enthusiasm that blend tap, body percussion, vaudeville, ballet, and contemporary dance.

● LORELEI ENSEMBLE (Thursday, April 12, 7:30 p.m., Alumni Recital Hall, tickets $20-$18). Boston’s Lorelei Ensemble is a source of inventive programming that expands of the repertoire for women’s voices. Lorelei works with established and emerging composers from the United States and abroad to create new works that reveal the flexibility and strength of the human voice.
