Mid-River Bulletin Board
A timely event and information service for and by the communities in and around the Mid-Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire

Vernal Pool Walk

Saturday, April 22, 2017
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Westminster West Church
44 Church St
Westminster West, VT

Saturday April 22, Earth Day, from 10 AM to noon, Becky Chalmers, Wetland Ecologist for the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, will lead a walk to vernal pools in search of the animals that visit them. Learn why those places are so special and are protected by the State of Vermont. All ages are welcome. Participants should wear waterproof boots and refrain from any bug repellent on their hands if they want to handle any of the creatures that may be found.

The Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association is offering this free, family-friendly event. Registration is required by contacting 802-869-1166 or wilsonupaul@gmail.com. Carpooling is also necessary because of limited parking at the site. Participants should meet at the Westminster West Church. For directions to the church, please look under Resources at the Pinnacle Association website: windmillhillpinnacle.org

Early spring is the best, and often only, time to see these special creatures.

The Mid-River Bulletin Board is facilitated by WOOL-FM.
