Two discussion groups: noon + 6 PM
Rockingham Free Public Library
65 Westminster St
Bellows Falls, VT
The community is invited to participate in a statewide read of Jacqueline Woodson’s “Brown Girl Dreaming” for Vermont Reads 2017. This memoir of the author’s childhood, written in verse, tells the story of a young person finding her voice and examines the strength of family bonds. Its universal themes and multiple points of connection will resonate with Vermonters from a variety of backgrounds.
The Rockingham Library has 60 copies of Brown Girl Dreaming to share with the public. Free copies of the book are available at the Library’s front desk. When done, readers are encouraged to return copies to the Library so others can read them. Or pass them on to friends. No strings attached.
The Community Book Discussion of “Brown Girl Dreaming” by Jacqueline Woodson will be Thursday, March 23 at 12 noon & also at 6:00 p.m.
All Library programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call 802-463-4270, email programming@rockinghamlibrary.org or go to rockinghamlibrary.org
