Sharing sorrow in an online group isn’t ideal, but in these extraordinary times adapting and connecting despite the challenges of grieving during a pandemic may be more important than ever. Brattleboro Area Hospice offers a Grief Support Group via Zoom for adults who have experienced any kind of death loss – spouse or partner, parent, adult child, sibling, etc., either recently or in the past.

The group meets via Zoom weekly on Monday mornings from 10 to 11 AM. Size is limited to eight people and registration is required. This is an opportunity to connect with others who have lost a loved one, a time for listening and sharing, and to access grief support. The facilitator will be Walter Slowinski, a long time Brattleboro Area Hospice bereavement volunteer and experienced group leader. This is an ongoing group.

Interested individuals should contact Lars Hunter at (802) 257-0775 x104 or lars.hunter@brattleborohospice.org for more information and to register.

Participation is free of charge and open to anyone in the community grieving the death loss of a loved one. Bereavement Support Groups offer a safe, mutually supportive environment for sharing experiences through discussion, readings, and suggestions for moving through grief. No prior connection with hospice is necessary in order to participate.

The Mid-River Bulletin Board is facilitated by WOOL-FM.
