The Brattleboro Concert Choir host a collective online sing of great choral works every other Sunday at 2pm through December 20. Participants are welcome to join at any point in the series. Registration required.

The Concert Choir is also collaborating with local high school choirs to create a virtual performance of composer Nathaniel Dett’s 1918 setting of “America the Beautiful.” Each Sing-Along will include a brief rehearsal of this piece, and all interested singers will be able to take part in the virtual choir.

Remaining sessions in the series include:

November 8
Beethoven – Mass in C major, Op. 86

November 22
Haydn – Mass no. 14 in B-flat major, “Harmoniemesse”

December 6
Fauré – Requiem, Op. 48

December 20
Schubert – Mass no. 2 in G major, D 167
Beethoven – Symphony no. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 (movement 4)

Each Sing-Along begins with warming up, and a talk about the music and its context. The music will be projected onscreen during singing.

Registration for single sessions is $10, and the registration deadline is the Wednesday before. Register at bmcvt.org

The Mid-River Bulletin Board is facilitated by WOOL-FM.
