Springfield Farmers’ Market accepting Vendor Applications

The Springfield Farmers’ Market will be opening for the season on Saturday June 6 and has space available for vendors.

This market offers agriculture products such as produce, meats , eggs, perennials, baked goods, processed foods such as pickles & relishes, jams & jellies and frozen chicken pot pies, as well as maple syrup and honey products including bees wax candles, authors and artisans with handcrafted items and much more.

Vendors who may fit any of these categories – or something different that may fit in at a farmers’ market – can find applications and information on springfieldvtfarmersmarket.com

Seasonal vendors (at least 14 markets) are $25 for the season plus $10 per market; day vendors are $15 per market; nonprofits are $10 per market; and youth vendors (18 and under with adult supervision) are $5 per market. A vendors license is also required by the town of Springfield for $10, a form can be downloaded from the market’s website.

Vendors participating in at least six markets through the season also qualify to set up with the market at VT Apple Festival in October.

The market is also inviting local businesses to apply to set up for a one-time promotion; regular fees will apply for any additional dates.

Non profits are welcome at the farmers’ market to inform the public about their mission.

The Springfield Farmers’ Market is located on lower Clinton Street on a grassy area just before Nortrax Equipment Company. The market is open rain or shine unless the weather is dangerous.

This market is NOT open on Springfield’s Alumni Day, June 20.

Two indoor spring markets are planned for Saturday April 4 and May 16 at the United Methodist Church on Valley St. Interested vendors should reserve a space (10×10) by March 25 as space is limited.

The Springfield Farmers’ Market is a nonprofit, vendor-run market.
