Mid-River Bulletin Board
A timely event and information service for and by the communities in and around the Mid-Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire

Grady Evans Memorial Blood Drive

Saturday, February 29, 2020
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Bellows Falls Union High School
406 Union High School Rd
Westminster, VT

The First Annual Grady Evans Memorial Blood Drive will occur at the Bellows Falls Union High School on February 29th from 9am to 2pm. A ‘small’ act can make a BIG difference. One in every seven hospital patients will need a blood transfusion, while less than 10% of the eligible population will actually donate blood. On top of that, one in every 100 babies born will have a Congenital Heart Defect, making CHDs 65X more prevalent than Childhood Cancer, while receiving significantly less funding.

February is Heart Month. This drive has a goal of 75 to 80 donors, and they’re only about halfway there.

Walk ins are always welcome, but making an appointment helps reduce your wait time. Those who wish to donate can call 1-800-RED-CROSS to make an appointment.
