Youth Theater: Script Adaptation Series

Youth Theater with Dominic DiBenedetto & adviser Charles Norris Brown

Participants will be working collaboratively with local artist, anthropologist, and author of the children’s book “Did Tiger Take the Rain?” Charles Norris Brown and also educator, writer, and actor Dominic DiBenedetto. This is an opportunity for youth to bring their ideas and vision to a creative and collaborative process through which they will adapt “Did Tiger Take the Rain?” into a scripted play. The class will culminate in a reading/presentation of the completed script. Youth in the Tharu village in Nepal terai, India (where the book is set) will also be engaged in a similar creative process. Elements of this class will involve a cross cultural exchange between the youth groups.

Cost: $125
