Saturday, July 6:

BAKE YOUR ART OUT! A Creative Dessert Competition & Fundraiser. Funds Benefit the reconstruction of the MSA Education Space & Commercial Kitchen. 10:00 am to noon, registration required.

Duets by Christy Wendlandt and Brendon Thomas. The couple will be singing folk-americana songs, both original and covers, centered around acoustic guitar and harmony. 11:00 to 11:30 am. Christy has a lifelong musical theatre background, so you may recognize her from an MSA show (Chicago, JC Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors). Brendon is a singer-songwriter, producer, and member of The End of America – a touring folk band that has released four albums, and is gaining national attention for their powerful live shows and three-part harmony. Brendon also owns Owl Sounds Recording, a music production studio down the road from MSA.

Community Jam Session. Noon to 3:30 pm. Musicians, singers, and dancers of all genres are invited to come make sound and art together.

Rod Puppet Workshop. Instructor: Jana Zeller of Sandglass Theater. 4:00 pm. Workshop Cost: $5, registration required. A workshop for youth ages 7 to 13, and anyone young at heart. Each participant will build a colorful rod puppet and learn basic skills of how to operate it. The workshop opens with a mini show.

Jamaican Jewelz Food Stand. 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Chef Jewel offers the taste of Jamaica fused with Vermont.

Saturday, July 13th:

Fairy Tales & Houses 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Free event (donations welcome). Tracey Girdich, storyteller and creatrix will introduce Faerie folk as participants create dwelling for them. Tracey Girdich is an actor, producer, director and storyteller.

Teen Storytelling. 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Free event. Teens from Main Street Arts’ summer “The Art Of Storytelling for Teens” workshop share their tales with the community.
