Things are starting to come together for WRIF 2019, and we’re pretty excited. This will be the fifteenth annual White River Indie Film Festival – yep, fifteen years – so we’re pulling out a few stops and celebrating with the biggest and best birthday party we could think of – a fabulous Friday night Gala with great music followed by a film that fans, music lovers, and film lovers have waited more than 40 years to see – the just-released Aretha Franklin documentary, AMAZING GRACE.
Afterward, we keep celebrating with a WRIF Festival Opener Afterparty with DJ and dancing. We’ve enlisted the help of some very special friends to plan an event we hope you’ll love – and if you’re there too, that will make it perfect.
The excitement continues all weekend as WRIF celebrates fifteen years with a lavish, all-you-can-eat banquet of films, workshops, panels, and parties. Author and film critic David Sterritt will be a special guest at WRIF this year, along with Podcast producers Angela Envancie of VPR’s Brave Little State and Jason Moon of NHPR’s Bear Brook. Tom Ropelewski, Dartmouth grad and successful Hollywood screenwriter and director, and Leslie Dixon, Hollywood screenwriter and producer (Mrs. Doubtfire, The Thomas Crown Affair, Hairspray, and Limitless) will also be at WRIF. Our guests will be giving workshops, introducing special films, and leading post-screening Q&A discussions

So save the dates and stay tuned.
The full program will be online soon and we’ll be selling tickets online by early May.
